Troop Gear

Below you will find the new Troop 42 logo that was approved by the PLC.  We will be using a company named LOGO UP based in Florida and using their internet site to place INDIVIDUAL orders (http://www.logoup.com/).  One of the reasons for using this company instead of a local company was that the cost of the shirt or other item does not change whether 1 item is purchased or 400 which allows individuals to order Troop 42 logo items anytime they wish  vice the usual once or twice a year (also the prices were cheaper overall).  You will notice that we are using an embroidered design instead of the usual silkscreen which will give our shirts an impressive look. 

 

I have listed below a broad range of shirts in both cotton and performance fabric, short and long sleeves, and crew or polo styles in youth, adult, and female adult where available.  In addition there will be hats, backpacks, and duffels.  The activity uniform (Class B) for Troop 42 has traditionally been a Forest Green T-shirt along with the BSA green pants/shorts.  In the past a variety of shirts have been ordered, but the Forest Green T-shirt will remained what should be worn.  This will give the Scouts a uniform appearance whenever they have to represent the troop.  The Troop 42 T-shirt is usually worn under the Field uniform (Class A) in case the weather (think heat stress), when performing dirty jobs during a service project, or having fun in a physical activity during one of their weekly Scout meetings (sock wrestling, wall ball, etc).

The prices listed above are the current prices listed on the Logo Up website (3/18/13).  I have been on their email list (send me an email almost every other day telling me about their web specials that they are running) and they are currently running a 25% off your ENTIRE order.   

 

One downside to using this company is that you have to place an order greater than $199 in order to get free shipping.  The current rates are listed below.  One way to get around this is to potentially partner with a few families to pool the order to over $199, but that will be up to the individual Scout and their parents to arrange.  I tried to get them to take a Troop 42 check, but they were adamant in their policy that they take credit cards.
